How to take care of the Roses

Whether you’re a recipient or simply a flower enthusiast, these are some of the simple tips and tricks we recommend, in order to keep the flowers fresh for as long as we can.

Keep it cool
First and foremost, Roses are sensitive to the temperature, and it will be optimal to keep them under room temperature. Cut flowers do not require sunlight, and it is not advisable to expose them to direct sunlight. A humid location would be beneficial for them as well, so as to discourage evaporation.

Soak the stems
Just like any relationships, a daily maintenance will keep them fresh. You’ll have to snip the stem with a sharp knife, scissors, hand pruner, or shear. A blunt tool will crush the stem, preventing proper water absorption. It is best to cut them while submerged in the water, preventing any air from entering the stem and oxidizing the flower.
The advised length to cut off 1.5 cm to 2.5 cm, and to cut it every few days, after the stem has turned mushy or damaged. Change the water daily, as dirt or residue can destroy your hopes of making the flowers last.
